Darwin's 200th Birthday Contest Winners!

Thank you everyone who participated in our Darwin Contest. We have three winners that we picked today at Lincoln Park Zoo.




The contest questions and answers:
1. How many siblings did Charles Darwin have?
Answer: Five.

2. In June, 1828 Darwin wrote to his cousin William Darwin Fox, "I am dying by inches, from not having any body to talk to about insects."What type of insect did Darwin so enjoy collecting that was influenced by this cousin?
Answer: Beetles

3. What did Captil Fitzroy of the HMS Beagle think of Darwin's theory of evolution and natural selection?
Answer: He strongly disagreed and stayed firmly committed to his belief in creation
